Vismaya and the Colours of Dreams

Vismaya's family are very artistic, and Vismaya considers her father, who is also her best friend, to be her main influence. She certainly inherited his artistic genes - he used to take artistic self portraits of himself when he was younger! Although she grew up sketching and drawing as a hobby, she realised her love of photography quite late. Her great grades in school lead her to college, where she studied accountancy, and worked as an accountancy manager for four years before following the artistic path that her heart was longed for.

Vismaya only picked up her first camera in 2005, when she used the 2MP function of a video camera to take picture of her friends. Vismaya soon started uploading her images on www.ephotozine.com, where she came in contact with many wonderful professional photographers, who acted as mentors for Vismaya and with whom she developed strong friendships. Perhaps the most influential person she met there was Scotland's Victor Habbick, who, like Vismaya, can also be described as a 'photographer and artist'. Influences also come from the great David LaChapelle. Vismaya's artistic ambition is both to explore the world of dreams, and to allow the world to explore dreams - through her work.

Vismaya lives in a world of fantasy and dreams. She is a deeply genuine and honest person, who sees the potential for beauty in everything around her. She is shy, but horrifically talented. Colours of Dreams was formed in partnership with Lolo, to bring Vismaya's art to the world. Lolo and Vismaya first met when working together to create some amazing images of their own. Lolo quickly fell in love with Vismaya's work, and, together, they came up with Colours of Dreams.
